Stop Feeling Tired! – 8 Simple Tips for Feeling Young and Healthy

Why the heck are you always feeling tired and rundown? If your body was a machine, would it be a well oiled, highly tuned, precision instrument or a slogging, chugging, grinding, rusty artifact? The way you feel has a lot to do with how you care for your body. Feeling young, healthy and rested allows you to be more alert, attentive and refreshed. Believe it or not, it is possible for you to regain your youth by doing things that may come easily to you. By utilizing these eight tips, you will find that you have more energy and a zest for life that makes everyday more enjoyable.

Grab some blueberries, instead of a candy bar

1 – Replace just one soda or cup of coffee a day with a glass of water. Most people go through their entire lives in a constant state of dehydration. The body is made up of mostly water, so getting more of it can help to replenish skin and aid in digestion. You’ll be glowing in no time at all.

2 – Exercise every day or every other day. Regular exercise, such as walking or cycling, can help to boost muscle performance, improve blood circulation and help you regain strength. It also seems that people who exercise regular look younger and live longer.

3 – Eat your breakfast every single morning. You may have heard the saying that breakfast is the most important part of the day. It definitely is because it helps to boost the metabolism for the rest of the day and provides your body with much needed nutrients, after not eating for the entire time you’ve been sleeping

4 – Replace sweets with fruits. Fruit is packed with water and vitamins. The same cannot really be said about candy or other sweets. Instead of reaching for those creamy caramels, reach for a delicious peach or apple. You’ll be introducing more water and vitamins into your body with each bite.  As you learn to enjoy different fruits, you’ll gladly grab them in place of your old sweets.

5 – Stop watching so much television and spending hours online. Being sedentary is simply not good for weight, muscles, joints, and even your mental state. Instead of spending two hours a day sitting on the couch, try cutting it down to one. Take a walk for that hour that you’re cutting out from your television time.

6 – Get eight hours of sleep. Sleep is such an important part of your life. It helps you to heal and look better as well. Even if it just means getting rid of those dark circles under your eyes, you’ll look better and consequently feel better about yourself.

Do something fun, like fly a kite!

7 – Skip a meal at the local fast food joint. Fast food is a major cause for obesity and diabetes. One way to feel and look healthy is to eat some delicious home cooking. Find a healthy recipe online to try or create your own.

8 – Do something fun that you used to love doing. If you enjoyed bowling as a young adult, make plans to go bowling with friends or relatives. Even something as simple as flying a kite or playing catch with a child can help you feel younger. Throw a frisbee to your dog or make plans to go to the local fair.

The most important thing about feeling young, healthy and rested is to take care of your body. You simply cannot feel healthy when you are sitting in front of the TV for hours a day, eating fast food or not getting enough rest. These healthy tips aren’t hard to do, but you may not be able to do them all at once. Make a commitment to break one of your bad health habits.  As you manage to break that habit, choose another one to conquer, until you reached your goal. You’ll be amazed at how effective these simple healthy tips will work to have you feeling younger and rested.
